MAF in Papua New Guinea
Papua New Guinea (PNG) is home to one of MAF’s earliest operations, beginning in 1951. PNG’s rugged mountains, dense jungles and limited road infrastructure make accessing remote communities extremely challenging.
For countless people in these isolated areas, MAF provides a vital link to the outside world, offering life-saving support and opportunities for development.
With some of the most extreme terrain and unpredictable weather conditions globally, MAF pilots face immense challenges, yet their work serves as a lifeline for much of PNG’s rural population.
