  • MAF Schools Partnership

Bring the exciting world of Mission Aviation Fellowship (MAF) to your school with the MAF Schools Partnership.

The MAF Schools Partnership introduces students to the amazing work of Mission Aviation Fellowship through a wide range of unique and exciting activities, including tailor-made School Presentations, Virtual Reality Incursions and a Mission Focused Leadership Program. We aim to inspire your students to consider how they too can be a part of real, life-changing work – both now and in the future.

For 80 years, generations of Australian Christians have been inspired by the vision and passion of MAF’s founders, stepping up, generation after generation, to continue the legacy of bringing hope to the isolated.  Our desire is to share this vision and passion with the next generation through the MAF Schools Partnership.

  • School Presentations

MAF offer a tailor-made approach to school presentations for students of all ages, working with you to ensure the pitch, theme and video content is suitable for the particular cohort of students participating.

From our experience students of all ages engage well with the work of MAF.  We take bookings for junior and high school audiences and can be presented in-person or on zoom.

Many groups of students from a variety of different stages have experienced the world of MAF through MAF School Presentations.  God is touching hearts for mission work across Australia, it is very exciting to see His hand at work amongst the younger generation. Check out some photos below from previous presentations that our team has held.

  • Virtual Reality Incursion

The MAF Virtual Reality Incursion for Schools provides a fun and engaging opportunity for students to understand the work of missions and the variety of vocations that MAF Missionaries hold. During the incursion, each student will be given the opportunity to experience what it would be like to be medevacked from a remote village in Papua New Guinea.

This is one of our most popular programs that has been running since 2019.  This program has been run successfully in NSW, QLD, SA and VIC.  We are extending its reach in 2025 into NT and WA.  Students and teachers love bringing this experience to their school.  This program is offered at no cost to the school.

During a visit by MAF to ACC in Sydney, the students really enjoyed getting to know about the work of MAF, loving the virtual reality experience of being medevacked from a remote village in Papua New Guinea.

  • MAF Mini Plane Incursion

The mini plane incursion is about bringing awareness to the unique mission of MAF.  Students learn about the work of MAF through a puppetry and hands-on experience of being in a small plane.  Finished off with a photo opportunity.   This program is offered at no cost to the school.

  • Student Leadership Program

The MAF Student Leadership Program for Schools aids students to develop valuable leadership skills while at the same time learning about the amazing work of MAF and how this organisation leads itself with integrity and passion.

The program is specifically designed for students who show interest and/or ability for leadership and the desire to develop these skills. This tailor-made program is for any year groups from 4 to 12 and can be conducted in person or via zoom.   This program is offered at no cost to the school.

I cannot recommend MAF student leadership training highly enough. All students need to be equipped with leadership skills, both for their journey through school but in life beyond school. This program really engages students and meets them where they are to encourage leadership and service.” – Catriona, Head of Junior School at Pacific Coast Christian School.

The MAF Student Leadership Training is an excellent module that provides authentic and supportive training in the qualities of leadership. It is offered from a Christian worldview by an organisation that knows the pitfalls and satisfactions of being willing to step forward and make a difference in the lives of vulnerable communities. I commend the MAF program to any school wishing to encourage and inspire the next generation of leaders.” –  Michael, Head of Humanities and Experiential Learning Flinders Christian College.

The wonderful staff, students and families at Shire Christian School raised funds for MAF through the Junior School’s Jerry Can money boxes and the High School’s BBQ and canteen fundraiser. Around 800 students were involved, and we are grateful to each one of them and their families for their support of MAF!
Year 11 Hospitality students at Wollondilly Anglican College dedicated a full morning in the College Hospitality Kitchen, cooking up a huge batch of pancakes for the College’s annual Pancake Day. These were sold to staff and students, with all profits generously donated to MAF. Thank you for your support!
