Invite MAF to Chapel

MAF recently had the pleasure of visiting the chapel service at Norwest Christian College. During the service, students were encouraged to think about how they too could play a role in the MAF mission to deliver hope to remote communities around the world.

A year 11 Business Management class from Waverley Christian College were inspired to put their business acumen to work and organise a fundraiser for MAF. From developing a business plan to purchasing equipment, the class put on a delicious pancake fundraiser at school to support the work of MAF.

Tali Takes to the Air

Cairns Ironman Triathalon

Jeremy Dover, a teacher at Waverley Christian College, raised support and awareness for MAF by competing in the 2019 Cairns Ironman Triathalon. By racing for an incredible 225km, Jeremy was able to support the work of the Morell's, a MAF family serving the community of Arnhem Land in the Northern Territory.

House Sport Fundraiser

Thank you to the Shire Christian School for their donation of $2,463.45 for the work of MAF through their house sports fundraiser. It was so lovely to work with David Saluan (School teacher) and Ron Watts (MAF Advocate) and a privilege to witness their passion for MAF and see how they mobilized so many students and their families to support the fundraiser.

For over 75 years, MAF has been serving isolated people by using aircraft to bring in the essentials of life as well as medical care, emergency food, and Christian hope.

Our purpose is to deliver practical and spiritual care to people in places of deepest human need. Every five minutes, an MAF plane takes off or lands somewhere in the world. These flights enable crucial work by many aid and development agencies, missions, local churches and other national groups. MAF is serving the Church and communities in remote areas where flying is not a luxury, but a lifeline.
