Prayer is at the heart of everything we do at Mission Aviation Fellowship (MAF). It’s the foundation of our work, the source of our strength, and a powerful way you can partner with us as we bring help, hope and healing to isolated communities around the world.

We believe in the incredible power of prayer to move mountains and transform lives. A missionary once compared mission work to flying a kite and prayer to the wind keeping it in the air. Is it possible to make a kite fly without wind? Yes. But you have to run very fast and pretty soon you’ll collapse in an exhausted heap – after which the kite will come tumbling down on top of you! And this is the reality for us.

Every day, MAF staff around the globe begin their working day with prayer, seeking God’s wisdom, guidance and protection. Before each flight, our pilots pray for safety in the skies and for the passengers and cargo we carry. Our team also joins with passengers and local partners to lift up the needs of the communities we serve.
