Help keep us in the air
Over 185 remote communities in Papua New Guinea rely on MAF’s aircraft for essential access to medical care, education and disaster relief.
Without MAF’s ability to land on challenging airstrips, these people would be cut off from vital aid.
We invite passionate philanthropists to join us in ensuring everyone, no matter how remote, has access to life’s essentials. MAF planes bring healthcare, food, clean water and hope—but none of this is possible without your support.
Operating a plane costs $400,000 per year, and every dollar makes a difference. Without your help, these communities would be cut off from the necessities we often take for granted.
Join us on the ‘Fleet for the Future’ journey—changing lives one flight at a time. Thank you for making a difference!
DIRECTLY IMPACT THE LIVES OF PEOPLE
One seat on a MAF plane provides vital transport for around 400 people per year.
People like Emelda, a 12-year-old girl from Wanakipa, who was seriously ill with malaria. Her mother, Kapo Kapia, recalls how Emelda’s condition worsened, with the bacteria spreading to her skull.

“She almost lost her life,” Mrs. Kapia said. “I prayed to God, and I rang MAF.” Thanks to a seat on a MAF medevac flight, Emelda was transported for treatment from Wanakipa to Tari, saving her life.
By sponsoring a seat for a year or even just a month, you can directly contribute to impacting more lives.
PARTNER WITH SMALL BUSINESS OWNERS
On average, a MAF plane in PNG makes 990 flights a year bringing help, hope and healing to communities living near 185 remote airstrips across the country.
Many of these flights transport essential cargo, supporting communities like Mougulu. Otty Sasy, the local store operator in Mougulu, relies on MAF to transport his stock, including food, clothing and supplies for the local school and the community.

MAF flights replace the dangerous, long trek Otty once made on foot, carrying heavy loads through difficult terrain. “When the plane carries my cargo from Tari, I’m so happy… I feel like it’s helpful and supportive,” Otty shared.
By donating to keep us in the air, you help ensure vital supplies reach remote communities quickly and safely.
SUPPORT AN ENTIRE COMMUNITY
On average, a MAF plane in PNG flies 554 hours each year, with each flight lasting from as little as only 10 minutes—but saving days of walking. For Jayson Chris and other farmers in his village of Dusin, MAF flights are a lifeline.
The coffee they harvest is their primary source of income, but without MAF, they would face a three day walk to transport their goods, risking the quality and value of their coffee beans.

Jayson shared, “We only move by plane. We can walk, but it’s too far. The plane is easy for us. Otherwise, it takes three days to walk out of Dusin.”
A flight like this only takes 20 minutes, but it’s a vital connection for many. Your support of just 10 hours (or 100) of flying can help 30 (or 300) communities like Dusin.
