The Story
Since 2013 the Schadegg family has been living in Papua New Guinea, serving with MAF Technologies. MAF Technologies provides technical services for remote communities and mission organisations so that the Gospel can be preached and people can experience help, hope and healing.
The work includes different kinds of technology, like HF radio communication for medical emergencies and for church work in remote communities, satellite communication for bible translation in the bush, solar systems for remote mission hospitals, distribution of bible audio player for people who can’t read the bible and teaching the locals how to use technology in a beneficial way.
Lukas is trained in electronics and IT and manages the workshop. He supports and supervises 7 local staff who travel throughout the whole of PNG to install HF radios and solar systems and repair faulty devices in the workshop in Goroka. Mahela provides a stable environment for the family in a challenging cultural setting and helps in HR and organizes staff events.
