For almost 80 years, Mission Aviation Fellowship (MAF) has flown over jungles, mountains and deserts to bring countless men, women and children medical care, emergency relief, long-term development and Christian hope.
Today MAF operates around 117 aircraft in over two dozen countries. Every few minutes a MAF plane takes off or lands in some of the most remote parts of the world, where a flight is not a luxury, but a lifeline.
By supporting MAF with one or more of the gifts found in this catalogue, you’ll be helping to deliver practical and spiritual care to isolated people. What an exciting way to celebrate the true meaning of Christmas this year!
We invite you to browse our gifts below, donate and select one of the beautiful cards to give a loved one this Christmas time.
Help Fly Vets, Save Animal Lives
With just $10, you can help MAF fly a team of Vets to remote Kenya, where a 4-day trip treats over 18,000 animals. Your donation covers the cost to MAF per 143 animals treated.
In-flight kits for our passengers
Enhance the comfort of passengers on MAF flights by funding in-flight kits that include sick bags and earplugs. Your support will help ensure a more comfortable and pleasant journey for those travelling to receive or provide critical aid.
Fund a Sight-Saving Flight
For just $25, you can help fly a team from The Fred Hollows Foundation to remote areas in Kenya to undertake eye health clinics. Your support can bring the gift of sight and transform lives in communities that would otherwise go without access to critical eye care.
Your Gift Can Save a Life
When the equivalent of one jerrycan (just $50) gets poured into our aircraft, we are fuelled for up to 20 minutes of flying time. For isolated communities, these flights replace days of travel on foot and save many lives.
Enable People to Hear About God’s Love in Their Own Language
Your gift can deliver a solar-powered audio Bible loaded with hours of Bible narration, perfectly suited for those who are unable to read a printed Bible.
Support a New Generation of Aircraft Engineers
Without engineers, our planes can’t fly. Support the vital work of MAF engineers by contributing to a training fund for new apprentices. Help reduce barriers to entry for aspiring licensed engineers, ensuring our planes continue to bring help, hope and healing to those in need.
Deliver the Message of Jesus to Remote Communities
By donating a box of Bibles for MAF to deliver to people living in isolation, you help MAF bring God’s Word to people who may never have had access to it, offering life-changing spiritual encouragement.
Invest in the Future of MAF
Funding a new plane for MAF is part of a global initiative, which aims to modernise our current fleet, to ensure we can meet the challenges of serving remote communities into the future. Join a growing group of friends supporting this bold plan.
Help Deliver Essential Supplies to Missionaries
Life in remote Arnhem Land is challenging, but MAF’s partnership with Pioneers enables missionaries to live alongside the Yolngu, building relationships and sharing the Gospel. MAF flights bring essential supplies, making life and ministry sustainable. Fund the fuel costs for one of these flights.
Fund a Ticket for a Student on Arnhem Land’s “Flying School Bus”
Access to education is challenging for Indigenous children in East Arnhem Land, where rough, remote roads can make travel nearly impossible. MAF flights provide a vital lifeline, enabling students to reach school and receive an education, while staying close to their families.
Support MAF’s “Where Most Needed” fund
Help us address urgent and evolving needs across our global programs. Your donation ensures we can respond effectively to the greatest challenges and make a significant impact where it’s needed most.
Help a Mother Give Birth Safely
MAF Technologies in Papua New Guinea are equipping rural “Mama’s Waiting Huts” with solar lighting, creating safe spaces for pregnant women in remote areas. This lighting ensures care during labour, reduces risks, and stabilises both mother and baby before they return home. Give the gift of light this Christmas.
Fund a Life-Saving Medevac
Just $400 covers the cost of a medevac in Timor-Leste, where MAF is the sole operator flying to most district airstrips and providing essential medevac flights. With our team evacuating a patient every one to two days, the need for support is urgent and ongoing.
Your Gift Can Save 10 Lives
When the equivalent of one drum of fuel (just $500) gets poured into our aircraft, we are fuelled for 200 minutes of flying. For isolated communities, these flights replace days of travel on foot and save many lives.
Help Keep the Planes Flying
Help our team in Mareeba keep our planes in the air. Rough airstrips and high flight times take a toll on our aircraft. Your gift can help replace regularly consumed items like air and fuel filters, tyres, or batteries; ensuring our planes are ready to fly at a moment’s notice.
Enable our Team to Provide Loving Support at Critical Times
Support the “Closing the Loop” project in Timor-Leste by enabling MAF to provide compassionate care and support for medevac patients. Your donation will help ensure patients and their families are flown home comfortably and with dignity after their hospital treatment.
MAF Australia has over 40 families, working in remote regions globally, each with unique needs tied to their specific roles and programs. This Christmas, give the gift of love and care for these amazing families by supporting the program needs where they serve.
Sponsor an Evacuation Flight for a Victim of Domestic Violence
MAF in Arnhem Land has a vital partnership with Crisis Accommodation Gove and local Women’s Shelters to offer emergency evacuation for victims of domestic violence in remote communities. Our aircraft can cut travel time from 12 hours by road to just 20-60 minutes, providing crucial, timely support and safe escape from danger.
Give Comfort and Hope for Timor-Leste’s Medevac Patients
With your support, MAF can keep providing essential care packs to medevac patients in Timor-Leste. Each pack includes items such as food, water, hygiene items and a Bible, bringing comfort and hope to families, who have often had to leave without packing, in an emergency situation.
