Co-Pilot is MAF Australia’s community for young people aged 16-25

Our vision is to help young adults build friendships, grow in their Christian faith, develop a heart for mission and discover practical ways to engage with MAF.

Young people are looking for meaningful community, purpose and opportunities to make a difference.

Co-Pilot was created to provide a place where they can connect with others, grow in their faith and explore how God may be calling them to serve through MAF.

Co-Pilot is open to young people aged 16-25 who agree to our Community Guidelines and values.

Members aged 16-17 require a parent or guardian to complete registration on their behalf.

Discord allows young adults from across Australia to connect in one place, participate in online events and stay engaged with the Co-Pilot community between in-person opportunities.

The safety and wellbeing of our community is a priority.

Co-Pilot has Community Guidelines, safeguarding procedures, moderated spaces and an onboarding process designed to help create a respectful and welcoming environment.

Like any online platform, Discord cannot eliminate every risk, which is why we encourage safe online behaviour and provide clear ways to report concerns.

Every member completes a registration process before joining.

Members aged 16-17 require a parent or guardian to complete registration before access is provided.

Once approved, members complete Discord onboarding before joining the community.

The Co-Pilot community is overseen by MAF Australia staff and approved moderators who help maintain a respectful, welcoming and safe environment.

Discord includes private messaging features.

We encourage members to use public community channels wherever possible and provide guidance on safe online behaviour. Members are encouraged to report any behaviour that makes them feel uncomfortable.

MAF Australia is committed to providing a safe environment for everyone involved in Co-Pilot.

We have Community Guidelines, safeguarding policies, moderator oversight and processes for responding to concerns. We encourage respectful communication and provide ways for members to report behaviour that makes them feel unsafe.

Moderators may respond with reminders, warnings, temporary restrictions or removal from the community where appropriate.

Serious safeguarding concerns will be managed in accordance with MAF Australia’s safeguarding policies and legal obligations.
