Rest peacefully in God’s care

It is with sadness that we advise that last night at around 6pm Ruth Ussher went to be with the Lord.

Ruth is the mother of Sue, and mother-in-law of Regional Director Stephen Charlesworth. She and her husband Winston have had a long history with MAF. Following extensive service in PNG, the Usshers were involved in senior management in the Asia Pacific region and most recently established and led the Cambodian programme. We give thanks for their dedicated service to MAF and their obvious love for the Lord.

Winston and Ruth were on a ‘grey nomad’ journey to the Gulf of Carpentaria and were on the outskirts of Normanton when Ruth suffered, what is believed to be, a massive stroke.

Stephen and Sue are currently driving across from Cairns to Normanton to be with Winston. Pray for safety on the roads for them.

Please uphold Winston, daughters Jenni, Sue and Lynelle and their families at this time.
