From Plan to Purpose: Drive Change Across the Globe
Mission Aviation Fellowship (MAF) is a unique Christian charity using aviation to deliver help and hope to some of the world’s most remote and isolated communities. We transport patients, relief workers, medical supplies, and essential resources to places where flying isn’t a luxury – it’s a lifeline. With over 130 aircraft operating across more than 30 countries, MAF connects people in need with the practical help and spiritual support that transform lives. We’re passionate about reaching the unreachable — safely, efficiently, and with purpose.
Location: Fully Remote (open globally; preference for Europe or Africa time zones)
Contract: Temporary – Starting late November until the end of 2026 (with possible extension available until July 2027)
Hours: Full time and flexible – this role will include non-standard working hours depending on region
About the Role
The Project Manager focuses on the “How” — turning strategy into practical, measurable outcomes across all work-streams — while working closely with the Head of Integration Strategy & Design (the “What”), the Head of Integration Change & Engagement (the “With Whom”), and especially with the Head of Integration Programme. This role is perfect for someone who thrives on structure, loves collaboration, and enjoys transforming complexity into clarity.
This is a short-term, project-focused role within an evolving organisational structure, with strong potential for extension or transition into future programme management opportunities.
As Project Manager, you’ll be the linchpin that keeps projects aligned, time-lines on track, and outcomes meaningful. Think of it as bridging vision and reality — ensuring big ideas on paper are successfully delivered on the ground (or, in MAF’s case, in the sky!).
PLEASE NOTE:
-
Applicants must have, or be willing to obtain, the legal right to work in the role’s location. Criminal history checks and reference verifications will be required.
-
Acceptance of, and commitment to, MAF’s purpose, vision, and values is a fundamental condition of employment.
-
Salary will be determined based on the applicant’s country of residence.
Responsibilities
What You’ll Be Doing: You’ll be at the heart of our Integration Programme, providing leadership and coordination across multiple work-streams by:
Programme Planning and Delivery
· Turning strategic direction into clear, actionable plans with defined goals, time-lines, and deliverables.
· Managing programme changes effectively to keep everything aligned with MAF’s objectives.
· Coordinating shared resources and resolving cross-work-stream challenges with diplomacy and creativity.
Governance, Systems, and Methodology
· Maintaining our programme management systems (like Jira) and ensuring everyone stays on track.
· Championing Agile ways of working — fostering collaboration, transparency, and accountability.
· Supporting governance processes and helping teams stay focused on the “how” and “why” of transformation.
Reporting, Documentation, and Performance
· Producing insightful reports and dashboards that make progress visible and decision-making easier.
· Keeping documentation neat, centralised, and current — because clarity counts.
· Making sure everyone’s singing from the same hymn sheet (figuratively speaking!).
Qualifications
If you’re excited by the idea of turning transformation plans into real-world impact — and doing it in a global organisation that uses aviation to change lives — we’d love to hear from you
You’re an organiser at heart, and someone who thrives on bringing order to complexity and purpose to process. You love helping teams deliver their best work, and you’re not afraid to get into the detail when it matters.
What you’ll bring:
· Experience managing projects or programmes within large, complex, or transformational environments.
· A knack for translating strategy into delivery — connecting dots others might not even see.
· Solid governance, reporting, and stakeholder management skills.
· Comfortable working remotely across time zones (and occasionally, the patience to find a meeting time that suits everyone).
· An adaptable mindset, collaborative spirit, and a heart for mission-driven work.
