As Manager of IT Operations, you will lead IT teams and oversee critical infrastructure across the region, ensuring MAF operations remain secure, reliable, and efficient. You will drive digital transformation initiatives, including AI and cloud adoption, while collaborating across cultures and time zones to support humanitarian missions. Your work will enable MAF teams to reach the world’s most remote and vulnerable communities.

Our Mission, Should You Choose to Accept It

As Manager of IT Operations, you’ll lead IT services across a defined region and or technology discipline, ensuring our systems — from satellite links to servers, cloud platforms to local networks — run flawlessly.

Responsibilities

In this role, you will: 

  • Lead and inspire IT teams across multiple countries, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and excellence.

  • Roll out and oversee a global IT Shared Services model serving 14 national groups, enabling coordinated, world-class IT support.

  • Manage critical IT infrastructure to ensure MAF operations remain safe, secure, and fully operational.

  • Drive digital transformation, including AI and cloud adoption, to enhance our humanitarian missions.

  • Collaborate across time zones and cultures, connecting teams around the world.

Preferred Location: Cairns, Australia or Ashford, UK
Preferred Start Date: January – March 2026

Qualifications

  • Written and Spoken English at a native proficiency level.
