Give to where it’s most needed.

In the world’s most remote places, distance is deadly. When roads end and radios fall silent, lives hang on a single flight. Isolation should never be the reason a mother loses her child, a village buries another neighbour, or a family is left alone to grieve.

Isolation kills. It steals time, hope and the chance to act. The sounds of an engine overhead can be the thin line between a life saved and a life lost. The work you support does not remove every tragedy but it makes lifesaving care possible where roads and hospitals cannot.

WHAT YOUR GIFT DOES
  • Funds emergency medical evacuations for mothers, babies and children.
  • Keeps aircraft fuelled and pilots on standby for urgent missions.
  • Supports the building and servicing of remote airstrips so planes can land safely.
  • Pays for flights that carry dignity; returning loved ones, delivering supplies, bringing specialists.

No nurse should face this alone

What if you were the only nurse in a remote village… and a mother went into labour with a baby in the wrong position?

That was Sister Sini’s night in Papua New Guinea. She worked through the dark, drawing on every ounce of courage and training. With no doctors, no midwives and no ambulance, she searched a phone for guidance. Hours passed. The baby did not survive.

No nurse should be left to carry that weight alone. No mother should lose her child simply because she lives beyond the reach of hospitals and roads.

27 years, 35 graves, one airstrip

– Jack Balai, Sikoi Community Leader.

Sometimes the cargo is sorrow

Even when a plane can land, the cargo is not always medicine or new life.

In Arnhem Land, MAF pilot Matt Kaye flew a body that had been unrefrigerated for days.

The cabin was heavy with heat, flies and grief. It was a flight no one wanted to make but it mattered.

Sometimes the greatest act of care is simply showing up and carrying a community’s sorrow with dignity.
