The Story

Reuben was born and spent the first 10 years of his life in Western Australia, before moving to Ontario with his family. He grew up in a Christian home and felt his call to missions after attending an MAF event in his early teens. Reuben attended Prairie College, where he trained to serve as a missionary pilot. After graduating, Reuben secured a position as a medevac pilot where he has gained the required experience to complete his steps into service with MAF.

Emma was raised in Southern Alberta and was taught about Christ her Saviour since a young age. She has always felt drawn to service which led her to be an active participant in her church, a leader at Bible camp, and ultimately, to study nursing at Prairie College. Her desire to continue to go deeper with God through service to Him and others is what continues to draw Emma to missions.

In 2016, Reuben and Emma met at Prairie College. They were married in November 2018 and settled in Ontario. In June of 2020, they welcomed their son, Jacob into their family.

Reuben and Emma are currently in Kenya do the necessary training and paperwork in preparation to move to South Sudan next year.
