Meet MAF Pilot Joseph Tua from Papua New Guinea and MAF Engineers Mantlibi Mafa from Lesotho and Amber Mori from Papua New Guinea.
Their journeys show the life-changing difference that training, mentorship and opportunity can make – not just for them, but for their families and the communities they serve.
There are many more like Joseph, Mantlibi and Amber ready to train and serve – your support of the Chris Coffee Aviation Foundation makes their future possible.
Joseph Tua
pilot, papua new guinea
“Joining MAF I’ve met a lot of other cool people. Gentlemen who are older than me and who have been very good mentors to me, just with life… I’ve learned a lot from them, they’ve helped me, they’ve shaped my character to what it is today also. So being with MAF has been more than just flying, it’s changed my whole life.”
Mantlibi Mafa
engineer, Lesotho
“I was born and raised in Lesotho, and we didn’t have most of the things we needed to survive. I always followed my dad when he was fixing things, and I learned a lot from him. My dream was to work in aviation – as a mechanic or pilot – so I could improve my life and help others. But I never thought that could happen in my country, because there were no aviation training facilities.”
Amber Mori
engineer, papua new guinea
“Flying with MAF for the last six years, I feel like I’ve found my purpose, fulfilment in serving people out here”
