Arnhem Land Program - Ethan McMaster

Sent from: MAF in Australia
Serving in: Arnhem Land
The Story
Ethan has always had a passion for flying and aviation. With MAF, he now gets to use that passion to serve isolated people and share the love of Christ. Ethan completed his flight training at MAF’s Flight Training Centre in Mareeba, Queensland. After finishing flight school, God opened the door for Ethan to serve in Arnhem Land first in an operations role. He spent eight months on the ground learning the ropes, building relationships, and gaining a deeper understanding of the communities MAF serves. He then transitioned into a pilot role, after raising support.
For Ethan, working with MAF is about so much more than just flying planes. It’s about living in community, doing life with people, and being an advocate for Christ in some of the most remote parts of Australia. He has a deep passion for getting to know people, listening to their stories, and supporting them in practical ways – both on the ground and in the air.
Flying provides access, but it’s the relationships that bring purpose. Ethan is grateful to serve with MAF and to see how aviation can bring help, hope, and the love of Jesus.
“Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus” – Philippians 4:6-7 (NIV)
