Meet Advocate Chris Sinfield
At MAF, we are blessed to witness the lasting difference our alumni (former employees of MAF) make, long after their time of active service. They are the shoulders on which we stand – quiet, faithful and committed to bringing help, hope and healing to isolated communities around the world.
Our alumni continue to shape the MAF story through advocacy, prayer and sharing their experiences. Many become natural connectors in their communities, introducing MAF to new people, churches and in general conversations. Their credibility, built over years of service, brings authenticity and weight to every word they speak about MAF. Their ongoing involvement reminds us that service doesn’t end when official employment does; it evolves into new ways of contributing to God’s work.
Chris Sinfield exemplifies this spirit of faithful service. A pilot, aircraft enthusiast and former Air Force aircrew member, Chris has been part of the MAF family for decades. Since 1987, he has served on the NSW State Council, including ten years as Chairman. Alongside his wife, he spent significant time in Papua New Guinea, contributing to aircraft maintenance in Mt Hagen and training national staff.
Even today, Chris’s dedication continues in countless ways – speaking in churches, supporting events, or towing MAF’s promotional aircraft from Sydney to Melbourne for last year’s 80th Gala. He says, “Whatever MAF needs doing that I can help with I’ll do, using the skills God has given me.”
Stories like Chris’s highlight the ripple effect of committed volunteers and alumni. Each prayer, each conversation, each act of service builds on the legacy of those who have gone before.
