Growing up in a defence force family, Ethan spent a lot of time moving around, from Townsville to Canberra. He has always wanted to pursue aviation and while in year 12, family friends working with MAF in Arnhem Land at the time, visited Canberra and told Ethan about the MAF training centre in Mareeba.

During a gap year after high school, where Ethan grew strongly in his faith and relationship with God, he worked 3 jobs saving up for flight school and prepared to move back to Mareeba, Queensland.

While at flight training and after lots of prayer, Ethan decided to continue pursuing flying with MAF and glorifying God in whatever he was doing, using the passion that God gave him for aviation.

God has opened the opportunity to work in Arnhem land with MAF in an operations role while he continues his support raising and growing his Church partnerships.

As Ethan transitions into a pilot role with MAF, he looks forward to continuing to serve and build relationships in the communities surrounding him.
