paper plane competition – terms and conditions
1. General
1.1. The promoter of this competition is MAF Australia (ABN 26 134 583 887 of PO Box 7187
Baulkham Hills NSW 2153) T/A Mission Aviation Fellowship.
1.2. By entering this competition, participants agree to be bound by these Terms & Conditions.
2. Eligibility
2.1. Entry is open to Australian residents. Anyone aged under 18 must include the name and email of their parent/guardian and indicate that they have permission to enter.
2.2. Employees of MAF Australia or MAF International and their immediate families are ineligible to enter.
2.3. Only one entry per person is permitted.
3. Competition Period
3.1. The competition opens on August 18th at 8am and closes at 8am, August 21st 2026 (AEST).
3.2. Entries received outside of the competition period will not be considered.
4. How to Enter
4.1. To enter, participants must complete the entry form then fold and throw a paper plane into the competition banner.
5. Prize
5.1. The prize consists of a lego set valued at $40.
5.2. The prize is non-transferable and cannot be exchanged for cash or any other alternatives.
5.3. The prize will be posted to the winner upon receipt of postal address.
6. Winner Selection & Notification
6.1. The winner will be drawn on August 24th 2026 at the MAF Australia offices and will be randomly selected and not dependent on the success of their paper plane throw.
6.2. The winner will be notified via email within 48 hours of the draw.
6.3. If the winner does not respond within 48 hours of notification, a new winner will be selected.
6.4. The winner’s name will be published on the competition sign up page on our website.
7. Publicity & Privacy
7.1. By entering, participants consent to MAF Australia and MAF International using their name, image, and entry for promotional purposes, including social media and other marketing materials. In addition, the prize winner agrees to participate in reasonable promotional activities related to the prize and consents to MAF Australia and MAF International capturing and using their image, likeness, and story without further compensation.
7.2. Personal information collected will be handled in accordance with MAF Australia’s Privacy Policy.
7.3. By entering, participants (or their parent/guardian if under 18) consent to being contacted by MAF Australia at a later date with news and offers.
8. Liability

To the extent permitted by law, MAF Australia or MAF International (including its officers, employees, volunteers, and agents) excludes all liability for any loss, damage, or injury (including personal injury) suffered or sustained in connection with this promotion or the acceptance or use of the prize.
8.2. Nothing in these Terms and Conditions excludes, restricts, or modifies any consumer guarantee, right, or remedy conferred by the Competition and Consumer Act 2010 (Cth) or any other applicable law that cannot be excluded.

9.1. MAF Australia reserves the right to modify, suspend, or cancel the competition if necessary due to unforeseen circumstances.
9.2. Any disputes will be resolved at the sole discretion of MAF Australia.
JERRYCAN CHALLENGE – terms and conditions

4. How to Enter
4.1. To enter, participants must complete the entry form, and then take part in the jerrycan challenge – how long can you hold up the two jerrycans.
4.2. Incomplete or illegible entries will be disqualified.
4.3 Health & Safety – Participants acknowledge that the Jerrycan Challenge is a physical activity involving holding two empty jerrycans at arm’s length for a period of time and that participation may involve physical exertion, fatigue, muscle strain, or discomfort. Participants agree to take part at their own risk and should not participate if they have any medical condition, injury, or physical limitation that may make participation unsafe. MAF Australia reserves the right to refuse or stop a participant from taking part in the challenge at any time if, in the opinion of event staff or volunteers, it is unsafe for the participant to continue. Participants must follow all directions provided by MAF Australia staff and volunteers during the challenge.
5. Prize
5.1. The prize consists of a Rebel sport voucher valued at $50.
5.2. The prize is non-transferable and cannot be exchanged for cash or any other alternatives.
