Information about us

MAF Australia (ABN 26 134 583 887) is a Company Limited by Guarantee registered with the Australian Securities and Investments Commission (ASIC), and a Registered Charity based in New South Wales and registered with the Australian Charities and Not-for-profits Commission (ACNC).

MAF Assist Limited (ABN 27 654 417 544) is a Company Limited by Guarantee registered with the Australian Securities and Investments Commission (ASIC), and a Registered Charity based in New South Wales and registered with the Australian Charities and Not-for-profits Commission (ACNC). MAF Assist Limited holds Public Benevolent Institution (PBI) and Deductible Gift Recipient (DGR Item 1) status, and is part of the MAF Australia registered reporting group with the ACNC.

Tax deductibility on donations is only allowable by the Australian Taxation Office in respect of approved public relief and development activities. Tax deductibility is not available for sponsorship of staff working for MAF Australia, nor for the support of evangelistic outreach and other non-qualifying activities.

Accordingly, gifts and sponsorships over AUD$2 within Australia to fund approved public relief work of MAF, raised through MAF Assist Limited, are tax deductible; and gifts and donations to fund religious and other work of MAF, raised through MAF Australia, are non-tax deductible.

Accessing our website

Access to our website is permitted on a temporary basis, and we reserve the right to withdraw or amend the type of service we provide on our website without notice (see below). We will not be liable if for any reason our website is unavailable at any time or for any period.

As a charity, MAF Australia seeks to act ethically and morally in its conduct with suppliers and donors. However, we realise that mistakes can happen and so if there is a genuine case for a refund to be made, then MAF Australia will endeavour to provide this to a satisfactory resolution for both parties.
