The Story

Born and raised in Christian, mission-minded families, Noel and Catharine knew Jesus as Lord and Saviour at a young age. Having met through the local Christian university group in Hobart, Tasmania, they married in 2001 and have been blessed with daughter Aisha (2005) and sons Mark (2007) and Luke (2014).

Having spent most of their years as a couple training for, or in cross-cultural mission work, they are currently part of the team in cross-cultural work in north-east Arnhem Land — Noel as a pilot and Catharine supporting the work of Bible translation in Aboriginal languages. They live in, and are an active part of the multicultural community of Yirrkala and enjoy travelling to other communities and settlements as they serve the Yolngu.

For I am not ashamed of this Good News about Christ. It is the power of God at work, saving everyone who believes—the Jew first and also the Gentile. This Good News tells us how God makes us right in his sight. This is accomplished from start to finish by faith. As the Scriptures say, “It is through faith that a righteous person has life".

Romans 1:15-17 (NLT)
