Regional Measurement, Evaluation, Accountability & Learning Specialist(various)

An exciting opportunity to make a real difference..

Mission Aviation Fellowship is an international Christian organisation whose mission is to fly light aircraft to bring help and hope to people in some of the world’s poorest communities. We transport patients, relief workers, produce and medical supplies to some of the worlds remotest regions and places of deepest human need – places where flying is not a luxury but a lifeline.

Now as part of MAF’s five year strategic plan we are creating two new roles that will assist us in measuring our impact and ensuring we are meeting both our mission and the goals of our partners. One role will be based in our Asia Pacific region and the other in the Africa region. If successful you will be responsible for supporting the development and management of a comprehensive ‘Measurement, Evaluation, Accountability, and Learning (‘MEAL’) system. This will entail providing technical support to the design of methodologies to ensure high quality and reliability of information, that can be shared with relevant stakeholders. The role will work directly with staff in our various programmes (in Africa and Asia Pacific) providing technical support, and will conduct and/or facilitate beneficiary impact surveys and interviews.

Locations considered for these positions: India, PNG, Kenya, Uganda, South Sudan, Singapore

You will be responsible for developing, implementing and maintaining ‘Measurement, Evaluation, Accountability and Learning (‘MEAL’) processes across the region. This will entail training and supporting programmes in measurement processes and the guidance/oversight of local ‘MEAL’ Officers in programmes. In addition, you will develop and run surveys and conduct interviews that will support the Measurement, Evaluation, Accountability, and Learning of impact measures. One key aspect of the role is to continuously monitor ‘MEAL’ information and advise operations on any areas of concerns.

You will champion a culture of listening through the organisation and promoting the principles and general understanding of ‘MEAL’ and its purpose.
