Mission Aviation Fellowship (MAF) is an organisation using aircraft to deliver help and hope across the developing world. MAF transport patients, relief workers, produce and medical supplies to the world’s remotest regions and places of deepest human need – places where flying is not a luxury but a lifeline. We operate in over 30 countries with over 130 planes.
Papua New Guinea which is one of the most culturally diverse countries in the world. It is also one of the most rural, as only 18 per cent of its people live in urban centres and the rest live in very remote areas with no option of transport being available due to the tough terrain.
We now require an Executive Officer to work alongside our Country Director, to provide a range of high-level executive, secretariat, and project support services. This exciting new role is crucial in supporting the Country Director and leadership team in achieving the organisation’s strategic and operational objectives.
To participate in general management activities and support the Country Director
Overseeing funded projects and reports
Qualifications, Skills & Experience
Relevant tertiary education and/or “hands-on” equivalent experience in leadership and management experience
Analytical business expertise
Experience in working in a developing country
Previously worked in aviation or a related field
Experience in working with teams and stakeholders
Experience in strategic planning and budgeting
A background in administration or management
