Engineering Administrator, Mareeba

Does it excite you to be part of an organisation where every six minutes an aircraft takes off or lands somewhere in the world, transporting people who live in remote communities and assisting aid and development agencies, missions and churches to share the love of God?

Mission Aviation Fellowship is a unique Christian relief and development charity operating 130 light aircraft in over 30 countries. MAF transports patients, relief workers, produce, medical supplies and Christian workers in the world’s remotest regions: places of deepest human need where flying is not a luxury but a lifeline. We have operated for over 75 years and have developed into a substantial aviation services charity.

To continue enabling our Technical Operations service in Mareeba, we require an experienced administrator to provide support to the Mareeba based engineers and other departments based at our MAF facility. If you are interested in combining your administration skills with your interest in engineering, then this could be the perfect opportunity for you.

Applicants must have the legal right to work in Australia. Acceptance of, and adherence to MAF’s purpose, vision and values is an essential condition of employment.

Please note:
*Successful applicants will be subject to pre-employment background checks including a National Criminal History check*

**MAF International is a Public Benevolent Institution (PBI). This allows staff to salary package up to $15,900 per year in tax-free fringe benefits, which can lead to significant tax savings*

By providing experienced administration support to our team of Technical Operations professionals, you will assist with general administrative tasks, projects and schedules, and also with coordinating events. Duties such as preparing for meetings, recording minutes, maintaining the currency of aircraft manuals, and assisting with stores are also part of this role.

You must bring your experience and skill to assist in the organisation and provision of engineering training for our apprentices. Researching available training, managing the administration of records, and by overseeing subsidies and incentives, you will greatly assist the team in supporting our apprentices. You will also provide your expertise to assist staff with booking flights, visas, accommodation, and transport as they attend external training.

Applicants must have the legal right to work in Australia and should also have a strong desire to deliver high-quality admin support services to our engineers, and other departments as needed. You must also have excellent communication skills, and be proactive and organised. There is an occupational requirement for the successful candidate to be able to align themselves fully with MAF’s Christ-centred vision, mission and core values.
