The role is a full time position with MAF operation under Arnhem Land Community Airlines. You will be responsible to the Programme Director for the conduct of all flying operations in our Arnhem Land programme.
As the Chief Pilot, you will need to manage and promote flight safety policies and standards in consultation with the Aviation Department. This means ensuring flying operations are safe, efficient and conducted with regulating authorities. You will also be involved with the management of the programme and make sure operational planning, meets the needs of the customers.
You will oversee the professional performance and well-being of the programme pilots. You will also be required to provide administration support such as conducting regular operational line flying, maintaining fuel consumption records and facilitating amendments to the company operations manuals when needed.
Qualifications, Skills & Experience
Education and Qualifications:
ICAO Commercial Pilots Licence, must be able to convert to Australian CPL
Command Instrument Rating
Aviation Medical – Class 1
Must have Flight Instructor Ratings or be willing to obtain an Australian Flight Instructor Qualifications
Job Related Experience:
A minimum of 2000 Total Time flying experience
Some leadership and management experience highly recommended
A minimum of 500 hours experience on relevant aircraft types
Australian NAA (CASA) approval
